BRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER

I received an email from my friend, Naomi Raiselle, of Generations Cinema Stories, about an important event and a more important cause. She was filming fittings for a fashion show at Bloomingdale's in Chestnut Hill, MA. The dresses, from Kleinfeld's in New York and the models, ages 24-54, all breast cancer survivors. The event was to benefit Brides Against Breast Cancer. If you couldn't be there, perhaps you will consider donating your gown to Brides Against Breast Cancer. The organization cleans and re-sells gowns to brides and the proceeds go to the cause, helping to make wishes come true for brides facing this life- threatening diagnosis. What a wonderful way to use your good fortune to make someone else's dream come true! Thanks Naomi for letting me know about this event and thanks to all of you generous brides for sharing yourselves with those in need. If you are in the Philadelphia area on June 17th, you may want to attend the charity bridal event at the Radisson Valley Forge.

RETURNING TO LIFE

To all of you who have persevered and have continued to check in, I thank you. And, my sincerest apologies to ALL of my readers for my long absence. The last 9 months have been some of the worst of my life and writing has been emotionally impossible for me. Some of you know I lost my mother in August and, as if that were not enough, her house was immersed in soot from a collapsed chimney in September. I have been dealing with so many things, including the economic impact on my business and trying to keep a roof over my head. But it is time for me to try and emerge, return to life and to my business and to generate the creativity that is Bridal Affairs. I appreciate my readers and I look forward to springing into action as the snow melts and the flowers emerge from the earth.
