VINTAGE CHIC! DO YOU DARE?!

I had to double dose today- there is so much to say! Are you a daring bride, ready to do the unexpected or the very diffferent? If so, check out these vintage fashions! I spent several hours of insomnia this weekend perusing the wedding blogs and clicking in and out of websites. There are so many wonderful and talented bloggers out there! junebugwedings.com is a great site and I found these gorgeeos things on http://www.isadoras.com/ and http://www.vintageous.com/. The dress in vintage and one of a kind, but the ideas you can glean from this site is awesome! But, brides- that necklace is a butterfly wing and the shoes are to die for!!! Do something unique and dazzling with your wedding attire and hear the oohs and aahs!!! Love it!

ONE FOR THE BOYS!

A tuxedo isn't just a tuxedo anymore!! There are so many styles- and new colors! If the groom is a "fashion plate", a bride "wanna be"- wearing white ro ivory or just not into the formal vest or cumberbund- there is something for everyone. The little man can wear something equally as stylish- this one from the "peanut butter collection". Here are some other tips about tuxes: Make sure you visit the store well before the wedding. Your out of town groomsmen can be measured by a tailor in their area and phone in the measurements to your shop. DON'T wait until Friday afternoon to try on your tux!!! If there is a problem and the tuxes are rented from a wholesale supplier you will be out of luck! If you have several out of towners, best to rent from a store that has their own inventory and a tailor on site! Ask how to put on things like the cumberbund or button covers! If you don't know, the wedding day is no time to find that out!! You and your guys should look just as fabulous as the girls! After all, it is your wedding too- even if it as all about the bride!!!

I am thrilled to announce that one of my favorite weddings and most amazing brides is in the Fall/Winter issue of Bride's Philadelphia!!! Joy and Bob got married last September at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts- a beautiful place for a wedding. Their wedding is featured in the magazine. Joy- of http://www.ohjoystudio.com/ is a wonderful artist who is a textile designer and has a wonderful line of stationary. She designed all of her wedding stationary. THIS IS NO BABY SHOWER!

These photos are from a gorgeous wedding I did on Saturday! The bride combined blue hydrangea and roses from ivory to shades of pink to achieve this incredible look. The linens were champagne satin and the napkins were white satin. The rose in the center of the napkins is real! And, the head table has a julep cup with a hydrangea in the center. If you thought pink and blue were just for baby showers- THINK AGAIN!!! This was truly spectacular! The florist is one of my favorites- http://www.alvinsflowers.com/. Peter is an amazing talent and every time I work with him I am blown away! The bride was calm and didn't cry all day until she walked into the ballroom. She broke down in ecstatic tears at the sight of her vision that was" more than I ever imagined"! It was a beautiful day and a wonderful start for two great people!
