THEY WANT ME TO TEACH!

Can you believe it?! The Wedding Planning Institute wants me to teach a course on wedding planning! I have to cram for the next few days to learn the syllabus by Wednesday! This class will take place in Allentown at Lehigh Carbon Community College. But, maybe the next one will be in the Philadelphia area. If you want to join a class, contact them at TWPI and find out where the class closest to you is being held. The web site is very informative- I hope I will be! So, if you want the lowdown on what it takes to be a planner, sign up for my class and I will give you the basics. Hope to see you at school!
These are a few of my favorite snaps of some of my weddings.

PICTURE PERFECT GIFT IDEA

Want a great idea for a wedding gift, but don't know how or have the time to do it yourself? Then check out Give A Digital Frame. This company will upload the phtoos, wrap it and ship it right to the couple's door. How easy is that?! I love this idea. You send your digital photos of the couple- maybe an engagement party or a holiday they shared, and Give A Digital Frame will do the rest. Any couple would be so happy to get such a personal gift and you will be pleased to have given something unique and beautiful.

I know I am SO behind in my posts! And, you all probably already know about the new look of Elizabeth Anne Designs. But, for any of you, who like me, are behind or just clueless- here it is! I love the adorable illustrations and all of the new features make this site even more fun to visit every day than before!! So, in case you haven't checked it out yet- GET GOING! These girls have really outdone themselves! Here's a synopsis of the new site:
The EAD website has been completely revamped to include a sleeker design, quick and easy navigation, and lots of personality. We have also added some great new features:
The EAD Library: We now offer a NEW expanded listing option on the Library. For a nominal annual fee, vendors can have a dedicated page on the Library with information about themselves and images of their work. An example can be seen {here}. Vendors with expanded listings will have a page icon next to their Library listing, making the expanded listing a great option for those vendors looking to differentiate themselves! If you're a vendor interested in this new option, email or Contact Us.
Just a reminder: having a link in the Library is completely free - this allows us to present the most comprehensive wedding vendor resource guide possible. We have also added an About the Library page, and put links to Featured Content from the EAD Weddings blog on various pages within the Library.
The EAD Community: The Community includes both Message Boards and a Bulletin Board. The Bulletin Board is one of our favorite new pages - using the Post a Bulletin page, vendors and readers are able to post news, announcements, discounts, offers, and other information directly to the Bulletin Board. The latest bulletins are displayed on the sidebar of the EAD blogs, and will be featured in EAD blog posts frequently - the Bulletin Board is a one stop shop for all of the goings-on in the wedding and blog communities! The Message Boards will allow all of the EAD readers to connect and share information, and we will be active participants on the boards.
We owe a HUGE thanks to Laura Hooper for working with us to provide all of the illustrations used throughout the new EAD site. We are absolutely in her debt.
Thanks to all of you for reading EAD - we could not and would not do this without all of you. We'd love it if you would spread the word about the new EAD and come and chat with us on the

You just have to visit her at Make One For Me. Good luck to everyone- couples, florists, planners and parents of brides and grooms!! And, thanks to Abby for letting me in on her secret!

The Wedding
Vase Tradition

Usually a week or two before they are married the future husband's parents make the Wedding Vase. When the Vase has been made, the Husband, along with his parents and all his relatives go to the bride's house. The parents of both the bride and the groom give the young couple advice to help them have a happy and successful marriage. The holy water is placed in the Wedding Vase and the Vase is turned around and given to the bride. She drinks from one side of the
Vase, turns it round again and gives it to the groom
who then drinks from the opposite side of the Vase. This ceremony unites them as one.The couple will treasure the Vase throughout their married life. Should one of them outlive the other, the remaining person will give the Vase to a couple known to be living a happily married life.
The Wedding Vase is treasured and protected always and it is never broken
