Today, I am so excited to talk about escort card tables! In the past few days I have seen some really wonderful and unique ways to guide your guests to their seats. So, I just wanted to share them with you.
Instead of using the typical card stock, try having the caligraphy done on vintage bottles, by table number. This effect has been very popular in the past using old frames or chalk boards. But, I love this idea because you can add floral touches to the bottles which dresses up the table. This collage will get your creative juices flowing and your love of flowers growing.
Other unusual ways to invite your guests into your reception include using the simple leaf to welcome them. Whether a beautiful fall leaf or the leaf of a rose, either will dress up the table beautifully. Add a photo or two or your card box and there you have it. Or, how about using apples, pumpkins, wheat or lavender. Nature is a beautiful thing and it makes for a smashing way to decorate your escort card table.
Now, lets talk about using your escort cards as your favors. Custom wine bottles with your guests names on them are a great welcome gift. Miniature lanterns are another special way to say hello and thank you to your guests. I have also seen candy boxes, honey jars, maple syrup bottles, mini succulents, cake pops, seashells, river rock... the possibilities are endless. Don't settle for just another card with a name.
