FIT FOR A QUEEN!

There's a new venue in town! This is NOT the typical ballroom and the photos don't do it justice! You owe it to yourself to visit the Marriott Downtown and see this absolutely gorgeous space in the Marriott on Market Street. Please tell them I sent you! It looks like Cinderella's Castle! And, the Marriott is definitely one of the most accomodating hotels in the area! They will see to every detail and do it with a smile! Check it out!

BLOG GENIUS!

I have discovered the most amazing and creative blog- written by a bride, for the bride. She has great taste and a flare for things unusual!! Please check it out and also the links to her blog, which you will also find helpful and fun. I think she is on the west coast, but her ideas are universal. http://www.perfectbound.blogspot.com/. ORGANIZED CHAOS

I am working with a bride right now who is SO organized! She has everything in a great binder that she uses to keep business cards, swatches, photos of flowers, dresses, etc and all of her contracts and lists of things to do. My advice-GET ONE! It will make all of the planning so much easier.

CHOOSING SHOES!

Your feet don't have to hurt all day to look good!! When you are shopping for shoes for that fabulous dress- shop with your feet firmly planted in reality! There are great shoes that are very comfortable and there is no rule that says you can't bring a pair of flats for later in the evening. Another hint: wear your shoes around the house in socks once or twice before the big day and make sure you scuff the bottoms. And- don't go barefoot the whole week before your wedding or your feet won't want to be in shoes at all on your wedding day!

BON VOYAGE!

This is an article from http://www.weddingchannel.com/ about the new passport laws is one of many helpful articles on that site, as well as lots of choices for your perfect honeymoon! Check it out and have fun planning the perfect getaway to start your new life together!!
"It's advisable to start planning your honeymoon trip early and to apply for a passport as soon as you realize you'll be traveling outside of the U.S. territories. Below is the most updated information at the time of this publication.
Beginning January 23, 2007, ALL persons, including U.S. citizens, traveling by air between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda will be required to present a valid passport, Air NEXUS card, or U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Document, or an Alien Registration Card, Form I-551, if applicable.
As early as January 1, 2008, ALL persons, including U.S. citizens, traveling between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda by land or sea (including ferries), may be required to present a valid passport or other documents as determined by the Department of Homeland Security. While recent legislative changes permit a later deadline, the Departments of State and Homeland Security are working to meet all requirements as soon as possible. Ample advance notice will be provided to enable the public to obtain passports or passport cards for land/sea entries.
New InformationOn June 8, 2007, the Departments of State and Homeland Security announced U.S. citizens traveling to Canada, Mexico, Bermuda or countries in the Caribbean region who have applied for, but not yet received passports, can re-enter the United States by air by presentation of a government issued photo identification and Department of State official proof of application for a passport through September 30, 2007. The federal government is making this accommodation for air travel due to longer than expected processing times for passport applications in the face of record-breaking demand. (For details, see:
http://travel.state.gov/travel/cbpmc/cbpmc_2223.html.) This accommodation does not affect entry requirements to other countries.
