BE MY VALENTINE- FOREVER

Are you looking for a unique, romantic and affordable way to "pop the question" this Valentine's Day?  Well, here are two fabulous ideas from my good friend Matthew David Hopkins!!  So, get out your imagination and your glue gun and get set to wow her with a very romantic proposal!  

Inspired by sweetheart candies with messages on them,  Matthew suggests you take that concept and create an intimate table setting with love notes written on paper hearts.   Make sure the real message- "Marry Me" is written one of those hearts.   Then be ready to get an answer and have that bling ready to put on her finger when she says "Yes"!   

Another perfect idea is to create an indoor picnic!   Using your own china and glassware, you can bring the laid back feeling of the outdoors to a romantic indoor experience.  Who needs a restaurant setting for such a personal and intimate occasion?!   Soft lighting, sexy music and just you two- what a perfect way to ask "will you marry me?"   So, if you don't want to be in a crowd with your Valentine, get busy and get creative!   You will be creating a memory that will last a lifetime!     

Matthew has amazing ideas for your wedding too!   So, after she says "YES", let Matthew take over and create another memory to begin your life together!!   

WILL YOU MARRY ME? TWO LUCKY BRIDES

Kerri Hill from Bridal Reflections sent me these two marriage proposals today. This proposal came to a very surprised bride who thought she was guessing what candy her boyfriend had chosen for her. You can see the video here. Click on the "proposal" clip on the main page of Better TV to see it unfold. The proposal was filmed at Dylan's Candy Bar in New York, owned by Dylan Lauren. This was such a great surprise and the bride received a $2000 gift certificate from Bridal Reflections. Congratulations!



The other proposal Kerri sent me was that of a couple who won a scavenger hunt to find a $7000 diamond engagement ring. The winner got to propose on WPIX-TV and the couple won a weekend getaway. Bridal Reflections provided there beautiful gowns as a backdrop for the actual proposal and was the starting point of the hunt all over New York City. ETSY FINDS VALENTINES

Today I went "shopping" at Etsy for Valentines. This is some of what I found. From personalized sweetheart candies, to flowers and hairpins for your hair, to baskets for the flower girls, Etsy has it all. I love these cake toppers- the pandas are so cute and the lovebirds are very nostalgic.
How lovely is this Swarovski crystal pendant? If feathers are your thing, try this bouquet. I also love the heart shaped lovebirds to use as a napkin ring or on a package. So many of my brides have shopped at Etsy for their weddings. You can find everything there to make your wedding special. Happy shopping!

VALENTINE, WILL YOU MARRY ME?

If you are planning an engagement for Valentine's Day, let me tell you a few of the sweet ways to "pop the question". Of course, there is the box of chocolates, but what is in that box? Replace one of those velvety truffles with a diamond ring and a note that says "will you?" When she opens the box she will see it and say "YES" right away. What woman can resist chocolate and diamonds? Or, take her out for dinner and plan ahead to have dessert brought to the table with the ring sitting on top of the confection you order ahead of time. Make sure you have a bottle of champagne ready to toast after she says "yes". Maybe you are handy in the kitchen. A romantic meal and a luscious dessert with a diamond on the plate will surely get a "yes". How about roses in the snow spelling out "will you marry me"? Picture this- the two of you on the top of the ski slope, the gondola coming up the mountain with a sign that asks the question. The ring in your gloved hand. Then, a bottle of champagne and roses by the fire when you return to the lodge. The possibilities are endless. Put on your thinking cap, use your imagination, make it special!
